Book Review : Garfield by Jim Davis

In this book there are tons of funny comic strips that you can read. Each section of the book looks at one big topic. Then it makes strips, or a series of small pictures, about that topic. Throughout the book the author keeps on changing the topic so that there is always something new to read about. This makes you want to read on more and more because it's so funny.  For example, the topic "everyone hates Monday". Then it makes funny strips of that topic, each series taking a different view of the topic.

The main characters are Garfield (the cat), Odie (The dog) and John, Garfield's owner. The setting is John's home (where Garfield lives)

The main character is Garfield  who is lazy, loves caffeine and eating lasagna. While he likes his buddy Odie he enjoys teasing him which Garfield thinks is a sport.

The mini stories in the book revolve around Garfield maintaining all the things he loves in life while dealing with daily events. For example when John tries to wake up Garfield. John says 'wake up garfield ' the early birds get the worm'.  Garfield replies ' the late cat would prefer coffee pancakes and  a side of bacon'
